Course Description

The City & Guilds 2391-52 qualification has recently been introduced to replace the 2394 and 2395 Combined Initial Verification & Periodic and Inspection & Testing course. The new assessments will be beneficial to candidates by reducing assessment duplication, being open book and also having a quicker turn around for results.

During our 7-day course you will cover the syllabus for Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection and Testing awards. You will then complete the assessments for the City & Guilds 2391-52 combined qualification.

Achievement of the 2391-52 is a requirement for JIB ‘Approved Electrician’ grading.

Through theory classes and inspection and testing workshops you will improve your understanding which will enable you to accurately complete the Electrical Installation Certificate and Condition Reports. You will learn to inspect and test in compliance with key industry documents such as IET BS7671 and Guidance Notes 3.

About this course…

The City & Guilds 2391-52 qualification has recently been introduced to replace the Combined Initial Verification & Periodic Inspection and Testing course. The new assessments will be beneficial to candidates by reducing assessment duplication, being largely open book and also having a quicker turn around for results.

This 7 day City & Guilds 2392-52 course covers the syllabus for two industry leading qualifications

City & Guilds 2391-50 Initial Verification of electrical installations (new installation work covered by an Electrical Insulation Certificate)

City & Guilds 2391-51 Periodic inspection, testing and reporting of electrical installations (existing installations covered by an Electrical Installation Condition Report)

Who is it suitable for?

Electricians looking to improve their career prospects and those working towards ‘Qualified Supervisor’ status and/or ‘Approved Electrician’ JIB grading. The course is also ideal for Electricians and Domestic Installers that wish to improve their knowledge and application of inspection and testing.

What’s included?

  • City & Guilds registration, assessment and certification fees
  • Course notes and free 18th Edition / Guidance Notes 3 book hire
  • Lunch & refreshments
  • A unique and friendly learning environment!

Course entry requirements?

To complete either course it is recommended that you have a good working knowledge of BS7671 (18th Edition) and have recent practical experience of inspection and testing. If you have little experience of testing you will benefit from attending a 1-1 workshop session prior to the course which is available for £240 + VAT. Alternatively you could consider completing the City & Guilds 2392-10 Level 2 course first.

Reviews

Just completed my 2391-52 Insp & Testing course and have to say the whole set up is 1st class from start to finish. The training was excellent and the guy doing it had unrivalled knowledge, he took the time to ensure all candidates had the dedication they required and took time to explain all when needed. The centre itself is immaculate and its facilities just as good. Ample parking, pleasant staff, good condition equipment and revision material.I’m writing this even though I didn’t pass everything this time round (got to nip back to re-sit my online exam), but that is by no way to do with the course.Definitely recommend Rebus to anyone wanted to expand their electrical background.

I past inspection and testing exam a week ago and AM2 last year, with hard work and preparation. I dont have enough words of appreciation. Professional , good facilities , supportive , very ,  very nice staff. John , Rob ,than Paul the AM2 assessor , and not to mention the most mannered , prompt helpful , sweet smile little secretary Andy. These people are not trained to be nice , these people there are nice by their nature , you can feel it.

Thank you all Rebus members-of-staff for incredible warmth of reception, and for providing brilliant learning environment, also very special thanks to Jon & Gary for a comprehensive coverage of topics that led to my success, your expertise in the field, dedication and absolutely relentless support was icing on the cake. I highly recommend future candidates to join Rebustraining.
