Rebus Training is North Staffordshire’s specialist electrical training provider. We currently train and assess over 200 Electrical
Apprentices and offer a wide range of electrical courses to contractors, electricians and those wishing to train as an electrician.
A significant and prestigious element of our business is our NET licensed AM2 centre. The AM2 is a 2 ½ day practical assessment that is
completed prior to any apprentices or adult learners achieving qualified status in the industry.
We now have an exciting opportunity for a part-time AM2 Assessor to join our team or for a qualified electrician to train as an AM2
Assessor.
Person specification
Essential attributes for the successful candidate will be:
- Must hold a JIB/ECS Electrician Gold Card
- Have a broad range of electrical industry experience over a minimum of 5 years
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with others
- A desire to work to high standards
- A flexible and adaptable approach to working practices, including a willingness to undertake overtime where required
Previous assessment experience is not essential as full internal and external training will be provided.
Job profile

Competitive salary ranging from £37,000 to £45,000 per annum (pro rata), dependent upon skills, qualifications, and experience

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Observe and assess AM2 practical assessments
- Maintain a professional and safe AM2 assessment environment
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with NET requirements
- Submit results to the awarding body
- Manage and maintain stores and equipment
- Compliance with safeguarding requirements
- Comply with all Rebus Training Ltd policies and procedures

- This post is subject to a 5-month probationary period

As the position will include working with children (16-18 year olds), applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening. This
will include checks with past employers and enhanced checks with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
- The post will be subject to annual appraisal in line with company procedures.
