Safeguarding and Apprentice Wellbeing
Your Safety & Wellbeing at Rebus
Safeguarding is about protecting people from harm, abuse, neglect and exploitation, and making sure they have the support they need to
stay safe and well. Your safety and mental wellbeing are our top priorities, whether you are studying at our training centre or out on site
with your employer.
Safeguarding isn't just about what happens at Rebus. It can include things that happen at work, at home, online, in relationships or in
the wider community. To protect yourself, always stay mindful of your physical environment - adhering strictly to health and safety
regulations, wearing proper PPE, and speaking up if a task feels unsafe.

Understanding Prevent & protecting yourself from radicalisation
As part of our commitment to safeguarding, Rebus Training actively supports the UK government's Prevent strategy, which protects individuals from being drawn into terrorism, extremism, or radicalisation.
Radicalisation can happen gradually, often starting online or through personal relationships where individuals are targeted, groomed or exposed to hateful ideologies designed to divide communities.
Protecting yourself means exercising critical thinking like:
- Questioning extremist narratives
- Protecting your digital footprint
- Avoiding unverified online forums
- Recognising when someone may be attempting to influence your views
We encourage an open culture based on our core British Values:
If you notice a friend, colleague, or peer changing their behaviour, pulling away from others, or sharing concerning or hateful content - or if you feel targeted yourself - speak up immediately to the Rebus safeguarding team.
Reporting a concern is not about getting someone into trouble; it is about getting them the support they need before harm occurs.
