We spoke to Macy about her Electrical Apprenticeship Journey and her experiences and successes along the way!
Congratulations Macy on winning Rebus Training Apprentice of the Year for a second occasion! How did you feel
about winning the award once again?
I feel delighted and honoured to have won the apprentice of the year award for a second time. The support I have received from both my
employer and Rebus Training has been brilliant!
How would you evaluate your electrical apprenticeship journey with Rebus?
It has been fantastic! The tutors at Rebus are all very knowledgeable, offering help and support throughout my training. I am also very
appreciative to my employers at Kier who have supported me to complete my apprenticeship.
What advice would you give to other females considering starting an electrical apprenticeship?
I would recommend that any other females looking to join the electrical industry don’t hesitate and just go for it. If you don’t mind
putting the effort in and enjoy being active it’s definitely the job for you!
Now that you have completed your apprenticeship what are your next steps?
I am looking forward to progressing in my role at Kier and building upon the experience that I have gained so far within the trade. I
have also recently passed my 2391 Electrical Inspection and Testing qualification at Rebus.
Macy’s employer Peter Sheperd - Electrical Project Manager at Kier added :
